Periods During Pregnancy

The term pregnancy is "gravid", so that pregnant women Referred to as "gravida". Relating to the terms of pregnancy are as follows:
Parity (the): indicates the number of previous live births
Nuligravida: a woman has never been pregnant WHO
Primigravida: a woman who is pregnant for the first time
Multigravida / multipara: a woman who is pregnant in the subsequent
Embryo / embryos: use up to 11 weeks of gestation
The fetus / fetus: used after 11 weeks gestation
The gestation period is Divided into three monthly (trimesters). The first trimester is the development and organ formation. The second trimester is the stage of development and continued growth. The third trimester is the stage of accelerated growth and birth preparations.

  1. At term: full-term fetus says if her pregnancy Reaches 38-42 weeks 
  2. Premature / Preterm: a fetus with a gestational age less than 38 weeks 
  3. Postmature / postterm: a fetus with a gestational age of 42 weeks 
  4. Perinatal: period begins at 22 weeks gestation with a fetal weight of 500 grams up to 7 days after the baby is born 
  5. Puerperal period: the period Immediately after birth up to 40 days (6 weeks) in the which the mother's body back to its pre-pregnancy
